The Virginia State Bar, an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Virginia, has an immediate opening for an exceptional customer service-oriented individual to perform a variety of entry-level office functions including records management (scanning and archiving of digital files); mail and package distribution; supply management; and facilities, meeting, and project support. In addition, this position provides daily backup coverage for the front desk receptionist. This is a highly visible position that requires interfacing with our members, all levels of our organization, vendors and the general public. Only individuals with a positive and professional “can do” attitude should apply.
The selected candidate will be extremely dependable, detail oriented, organized, and proficient with the Microsoft suite and Adobe Acrobat. Additionally, he/she will demonstrate excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, and the abilities to learn quickly, follow directions, take initiative, work independently and as a team, and manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Previous work experience in a professional setting handling confidential and sensitive documents is preferred. Some lifting (minimum 30 lbs.) is required for mail and supply distribution. Selected candidate must also complete and pass a criminal background check.
