US Senators Mark R. Warner and Timothy M. Kaine are accepting applications from candidates interested in pursuing a nomination to fill the upcoming judicial vacancy in the US District Court for the Western District of Virginia occasioned by the retirement of Judge Glen E. Conrad. Relevant information, including a link to download and complete a mandatory questionnaire, can be found on Senator Warner’s website at https://www.warner.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?p=western-district-judicial-vacancy. The deadline to submit materials to the senators is Monday, February 26, 2018.
The Virginia State Bar also has been asked by US Senators Kaine and Warner to evaluate candidates for the upcoming vacancy on the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia due to the retirement of Judge Conrad.
Candidates are to submit on or before February 26, 2018, at 4:30 p.m., a résumé, a brief writing sample, and responses to a questionnaire (Word document) available on the Virginia State Bar website.
Submissions should be sent electronically (Word document), and the original questionnaire should be submitted by mail. Interviews of candidates will be scheduled to take place on Monday, March 26, 2018, at the Virginia State Bar office at 1111 E. Main Street, Suite 700, Richmond.
